Start the Christmas Festivities with Bangkok Big Band
The evening will feature the talented string, wind, brass and percussion players from Shrewsbury International School Riverside alongside the top pro band Bangkok Big Band. The music will take us on a journey from the big band charts of the 40s and 50s and the latest Broadway shows to contemporary jazz and rock classics with some classical pieces too. There’ll be something for everyone in an unforgettable evening to celebrate Christmas and we’ll raise funds for our partner charity, Harmony Action Through The Arts.
Funds raised from this event will be used by Harmony Action Through The Arts to support music activities at Mattayom Banbangkapi School, a local school in Bangkok.
Funds raised will go towards;
-Providing specialist professional musicians to coach the students and support the work of the teachers at the school.
-Purchasing method books and sheet music for both solo and ensemble repertoire
-Providing music accessories for woodwind, brass and percussion instruments such as reeds, valve oil and drumsticks
-Purchasing second hand instruments
